In 2025, Form Engine releases added template versions, template folders, field suggestions in the dynamic template editor and more control over radio buttons, search and select fields and dynamic reports. Many fixes also improved links, PDF generation and performance for large forms.

January 2025

  • Removed templates: Templates that have been removed are now ignored when templates are loaded.

  • Field suggestions while typing: The dynamic template editor now suggests fields as you type, similar to autocomplete.

  • Deleting templates: Fixed a problem where deleting a template failed with a File Not Found error when part of the template was missing.
  • Links in email notifications: Fixed an issue where certain characters in generated links stopped them from opening from email notifications.
  • Reference formula fields: Formula fields on references are now displayed on forms.
  • Newly created fields: Fixed a problem where fields added or changed in a table after a template was saved did not load correctly in the template.
  • Token styles: Double-clicking a token now opens the common style dialog.
