This gives you as Form Engine Builders some powerful page controls in your Form Engine Static forms. When you have Static form, document or presentation templates and you need to re-order pages or remove pages, you don’t need to re-build the asset or go back to the original pdf, Word, or PPTX master to make the changes.  You can easily make those changes directly in your FE template.

To use this, open any static template from your library and go to a page you want to change.  Right-click on the page background and you will see this menu pop up:

Moving pages also carry the fields with them so you will not have to replace the fields after moving pages.

The next option in the menu items is to “Set Page Number”. This allows you to manually select which page you want to place the current page. For instance, if you want to move pages one to two, you will create this setup.

Click “Apply”, the pages will be reordered.

You can also see the checkbox for “Swap pages”, this will swap the number you type in with the page you right-clicked on. So, if you right-click on page 1, hit the swap pages box, and then type in 3, pages 1 and 3 will be swapped.

Remember that you have to Save the template to save any of these changes, too.

To remove any page, you just right-click on the page you want to remove and choose the “Remove Page” option from the menu.  This will remove the page and associated fields along with it.

Note that there is no “Undo” for deleting pages, so delete carefully.  But if you do delete a page in error, you can reload your browser tab without Saving the changes, and the template with reload in its last saved state.   You just may lose some edits you made since you last saved the template.

The last item on this popup menu, “Change background”, opens the template's options where you can reimport a new master file to completely replace the template background of your form (this is the same as you can access in the Options button for any template).

There can be a lot of utility for you in this new page control functionality…it now only takes seconds to re-order or delete pages in any static form.

In some cases you may have multiple forms or documents combined in a single master pdf or Word doc.  You can digitize the master form once, and then re-order or delete pages to get different versions.  When you need different versions like that, make the changes to the master and Save-As, so you keep the original template as well as the new versions you need.  You can easily have as many versions of a form you need, and you only need to digitize the master form once.
