The Form Engine has two e-signature options:

1. Signature Pad

2. Script Signature

Signature Pad

The “signature pad” functionality is similar to that of POS devices in retail stores. To add a signature field(s) to a form, drag a designated file attachment field to the signature line, sized as appropriate, and check the Is Signature? box in the field’s configuration popup window.

Script Signature

If your users prefer to type their names and have their signatures applied in script, they have this option as well, as shown here.

STEP 1 - Open the Signature Box and Click on the Keyboard Icon in the bottom right corner.

STEP 2 - Type your name in the provided Text Box.

NOTE: Click on the Pencil Icon in the bottom right to return to Freestyle.

STEP 3 - Click SAVE when Done.

(Note: script signatures default to font-family: Pinyon Script, but you can also change for any signature field in any form in the Field Styles by double-clicking on the signature field in the builder screen and changing the font-family in the Field Styles section.)

Since the acceptance of types of signatures is always at the legal discretion of your organization, please see the Support for E-signature validity section at the end of this Guide for reference, if you have any questions.
