If you want to use your digitized forms to View/Print Quickbase records in that format (like Exact Forms), or you want users in your target Quickbase app(s) to be able to edit records in a form’s format then click on the “Publish to Quickbase” and select the desired function from the drop down. This starts a wizard that helps you create Formula URL fields in your target Quickbase table for this form for Editing and/or Output of your records in this form’s format:
Next, type in the field name (if you want something other than the default), choose your target table for the Formula URL field, and select the field that serves as the key field in that table (usually Record ID# if you haven’t changed it in Quickbase).
Once the field(s) is created in your App Table, a dialog box will appear letting you know the wizard was successful. The Print and/or Edit Formula URL field you asked for are now usable like the ones highlighted below:
Besides being able to click these buttons/links to render any Quickbase record in the form’s format, you can copy a form’s url from the button and email it or embed it as a link anywhere your users need it. It will work outside of Quickbase to render the record in the form’s format for editing or print/pdf output just like clicking it inside your Quickbase record (depending on the user’s permissions to access that record).
